SARA Mid-Atlantic Council Hosts Inspiring Firm Crawl with Top DC Architecture Firms

The SARA Mid-Atlantic Council recently hosted an engaging Firm Crawl in Washington, D.C., bringing together students and emerging professionals with leading architecture firms, including WDG, Page, and DMSAS. The event served as an exceptional opportunity for young architects to gain firsthand insight into the field, experience the vibrant professional culture, and receive mentorship from established architects committed to the mission of *Architect Helping Architect*.

One of the highlights of the day was the addition of dedicated mentoring stations, where students engaged in one-on-one conversations with professionals, receiving resume reviews and tailored advice to help them stand out in the job market. These mentoring sessions underscored the importance of developing strong professional foundations and offered students direct access to architects who are shaping the future of the industry.

The event also benefited from the expertise of Emily Anderson from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), who was in attendance to guide students through the licensure process. Anderson’s insights provided students with clarity on the steps to becoming a licensed architect, enriching their understanding of what lies ahead and helping to demystify a critical aspect of their career journeys.

This Firm Crawl was another milestone for the Mid-Atlantic Council, bringing SARA’s mission to life and setting a positive example for future events. The Council’s board members are proud of the event’s impact and look forward to continuing their work in fostering professional connections and inspiring architecture’s next generation.
